Buddha Girl had yet another hot pot dinner, obviously, with my love of hot pot, I declined. With her dinner later, she accompanied me to Green Lemongrass.
We found the single waitress very nice and good at her job, very attentive. The restaurant puts their cutlery in a nice paper wrap, quite a nice touch.
Only one of our combos included the broth, but the waitress gave us two.
The Bo Bia Phnom Phen Rolls. The inside daikon and carrots have been cooked lightly. I though this was okay, but Buddha Girl enjoyed it.
My combo plate, similar to the Phnom Penh (Chinatown) platter, this was pretty good for value and taste. It had pork chop, steamed egg and pork, and shredded pork (with an additional egg added). Good, but nothing outstanding.
My other plate, grilled pork patty with spring rolls, the pork patty was a bit dry from being overcooked. The flavours of the pork patty was good, the spring roll was solid.
Buddha Girl didn't eat much since she had an AYCE coming up, so I ate most of the food (with very little leftover). We both agreed that we would have to come back. There was the waft of strong lemongrass in the air that we really wanted to find out what it was. There was also a crispy crepe that another table had that we want to try on our next visit.
