This was the second time traveling with MomJ and the flight was, again, delayed! The first time was a few years ago when we visited HK/Taiwan, our flight with Oasis (later went bankrupt) was delayed to the next morning. This time...the flight was delayed for seven hours!!! We blamed each other for the luck...hahahahaha!!! We were supposed to leave at 3:10pm, but due to some "mechanical" issues, we were delayed with no estimated time. After a number of passengers complained by calling customer service, we were then acknowledged (at approximately 5:30pm) by the ground crew with an estimated time at 9:30pm...OMG! Guess what, we did not board until 9:45pm and did not take off until 10:15pm. We got into Las Vegas at approximately 1am! Grrr...
I decided to grab a sandwich at the one and only post-security food concession...and it tasted horrible. The bun was dry and stale, not much meat, and the pesto was bland...and the cheese? Unbearable. I ended up throwing the whole thing away after a couple bites.
Our only compensation from Allegiant Air was pizza and pop/juice/water...well, at least they fed us. I guess that's the consequence for being cheap and traveled with cheap airlines...I've learned my lesson...no more Allegiant. I'll rather pay for more dependable airlines flying from YVR.
