Another day at Fraser Park, yup, this is getting a bit repetitive,. You see, we like to blog what we eat, even if it's at the same places. This visit was different, there weren't any customers when we arrived. Why? Because it was 6am, we got there even before they opened at 6:30am. It's quite amazing because both Buddha Girl and myself never wake up before 10am on weekends...the things we will do for food.
A few weeks prior, we came to document Anton's potato pancake, but my skills at operating a hand-held video camera was simply bad, so we returned on an early Saturday morning to redo it. Please visit Cooking with Anton for the Potato Pancake demonstration.
After taping, what else was there to do but order a breakfast? We had the choice of any table we wanted, of course, we took the one closest to the kitchen.
A sample of the Potato Pancake, the recipe changes, but the recipe that Anton showed are the ones he serves in the restaurant.
A sample of the Salmon and Corn Chowder for Buddha Girl and I, as with all of Sylvia's soups, we have yet to try one we did not like. The use of fresh dill here was good.
Buddha Girl went for a Pancake, something we had not yet tried before. She asked for everything except chocolate chips. The blueberry and cranberry pancake was topped with caramelized banana, Buddha Girl really enjoyed this, she thought it was light and fragrant. I thought it was okay, but I'm not a pancake fan.
Since it was early, I opted for the German Breakfast. Anton has changed how he cooks the potato pancake. It's easier for the kitchen to prepare now, still the same recipe, just a different cooking execution.
While I added extra sausages to my breakfast, Sylvia showered us with extra meats and some Longanisa as added bonuses. I just love all their homemade meats, especially the skinless sausages. I have had their Longanisa before and I really enjoy it, unfortunately Buddha Girl was not allowed to have any because it contains beef, well, more for me!

Sylvia also gave us a couple of Fruit Cups. I think she could tell we don't get enough fruits in our diet.
Huh, more samples? Yup, Lamb & Potato Soup, no gaminess in taste. I only tried a bit of the soup because I was so packed. Buddha Girl just loved this, she finished her portion.
Being so full, Anton packed a dessert for us, the Banana Bread. I was laughing that we could come back for lunch, I almost did, but Buddha Girl talked some sense into me.
