2011-03-19 Breakfast @ Fraser Park

Fraser Park Restaurant on Urbanspoon
Another early morning at Fraser Park!  We met up with Anton at 6am to do some filming...yup...6am!!!  We actually prefer going early in the morning because it gives us more time to chat with Sylvia and Anton.
This morning, Anton made Beef Rouladen and Spaetzle.  The beef rouladen was pan-fried then cooked in the house gravy (and topped with gravy when serving).  After the spaetzle was made, Anton quickly pan-fried it, then topped with gravy.  Buddha Boy really enjoyed both!  Please note that this was the "sample" portion after filming.
Anton was extremely thoughtful and made me a couple of Pork Rouladen.  This was not cooked in nor topped with gravy because he only had beef gravy.  The rouladen was extremely savory.  I love the chopped pickled cucumber in the filling!  It added texture and contrasting flavor!!!  Yum!!!  And the spaetzle...OMG!!!  I couldn't stop munching on it...hehehe!
Anton spoiled us with soup samples again...this time it was the Carrot & Lentil Soup.  This pure vegetable soup was amazingly savory!!!  It has won #2 on my list "Favorite Fraser Park Soups"...my #1 favorite is still Lamb and Rice...hehehehe!
Second sample from Anton, Carrot Salad, a palate cleanser.  The salad had a light sourness (vinegar) and was seasoned lightly and simply.  This was good and very refreshing.  We took the left-over salad home and had it the next day...hehehe...and I added some cilantro to it...mmm...YUM!  I love cilantro!!!
Third sample from Anton...Frikadellen.  While Buddha Boy enjoyed this, the texture of the minced onion was a little too much for his preference.  Nonetheless, Buddha Boy thought this was tasty.

Previously (see post 2011-03-05 Breakfast @ Fraser Park Restaurant), I tried the blueberry/cranberry/banana pancake, this time, I tried the Chocolate Chip & Banana Pancake...and it was good, better than the fruity one last time...YUM!!!
Buddha Boy ordered his usual German Breakfast...again, Sylvia pampered us with a little bit more meat...hehehehe!
Don't forget to check out Sylvia's Soup Fridge!!!  My favorite "treasure chest" at Fraser Park...hehehehe!
