After a big meal at the cafeteria, I walked up the hall to the culinary market that sells products from their culinary programs including baked good, butchered meats and ready-to-eat meals.
I picked up a package of Lamb Sausage Patties. We have not yet try these...still sitting in our freezer. I saw other cuts of meats as well, including rouladen, london broil and chicken. The prices were quite good.
For $2.50, I picked up a pack of Savory Cheese Biscuits. These were pretty good, nothing outstanding, just good.
Just to try, I picked up a ready-to-eat meal, Chicken with Mushroom Cream Sauce. Because this was two days old, it was 40% off the price of $4.50. I ate it about two days later, the asparagus was still crisp, the mushroom sauce was okay, the chicken was a bit dry. The chicken was also over-floured prior to frying which made the coating too thick and was quite evident as I bit into it. It's understandable that the consistency will vary when you have a group of student-cooks, however, for the prices, I'd visit again.
