It's snack time!  I was craving for some banh mi so I took Buddha Girl to two popular Vietnamese bakeries on Kingsway.  First stop, Tung Hing Bakery 同慶餅家.
Usually there's always a long line, but we were quite lucky that there's only one customer ahead of us when we showed up.  Traffic started to pile in while we were in line, and all of sudden, we had five groups behind us.
I picked up two subs, a House Special and a Lemon Grass Chicken.  Both subs tasted good.  The baguettes were light and crispy, but, they weren't too generous on the fillings.
Buddha Girl enjoyed the subs, but found the baguettes a bit too crispy for her.  Yup, she's one of those who doesn't like her bread toasted.

  1. Tung Hing definitely has some of the best made-to-order banh mi's in town, right up there with Kim Chau across the street !
