So much to do! So much to pack! Okay, three months ago, I told Buddha Boy and Octopus that we wouldn't be using all six luggage spaces. One month ago, I told Buddha Boy and Octopus that we would need all the spaces, but we wouldn't have any carry-ons. Now...I have six full luggage, three hand-carry luggage, a backpack each...AND...I still needed more room! Why so much stuff? Clueless...
Since we're leaving the next night, we took MomJ
out for dinner. MomJ chose Korean and immediately we thought of Cho Sun B.B.Q. Korean Restaurant in our neighborhood. Thankfully, we arrived just before the rush so we were able to snap the last table available.
After reminding them over and over, we were finally served tea. Then, again, after reminding them numerous times, we finally placed our orders.
First thing MomJ wanted was the Hot Stone Raw Beef Bibimbob 生牛肉什錦拌飯 (K-13). The rice crusted on the bottom just like Chinese-style clay-pot rice. The portion was pretty good for the price. Buddha Boy thought the meat was too little. I didn't try any since it had beef.
Buddha Boy and I wanted the Steam Pork Foot 醬豬腳 (DL-12). Nothing extraordinary or fascinating, just simply comforting...especially for meat-eaters like us...wahahahaha! Good for skin too...hehehehe! :p
The California Roll 加州卷 (R-1) was pretty standard. The Unagi Roll 鰻魚卷 (R-7) was quite a deal for the price. Reasonable amount of fish with crisp skin. The drizzling sauce was a bit too salty.
The Deep Fried Chicken & Vegetables in Hot Pepper Sauce 辣汁炸雞 (DL-9) was a miss. Each piece of chicken had more batter than it really needed. Not recommended.
The Assorted Tempura 什錦天婦羅 (T-4) was a simple dish, but not satisfying...maybe because we're preparing ourselves for some good tempura in Taiwan (at our favorite go-to place)...hahahahaha!
Not sure how authentic or classic this Seafood Pancake 海鮮煎餅 (A-1) was, but it's sure good enough for me to order it every visit. Chunky ingredients of assorted seafood, mostly from frozen, of course, with lots of green onions...no complaints.
Overall, our visit was a bit disappointing, mainly because of the extremely slow and inattentive service. Nonetheless, we still enjoyed the food.
