Daisy treated Octopus, Buddha Boy and I to an AYCE dinner at Ninkazu Japanese Restaurant 仁和日本料理 on Hazelbridge Way in Richmond, a sister joint to Tomokazu Japanese Restaurant 友和日本料理 on West Broadway in Vancouver. Buddha Boy and I have visited this place before (see post 2012-05-02 Late Night AYCE @ Ninkazu Japanese Restaurant 仁和日本料理), but it was only for their late-night menu. Not going to go into details about the food since AYCE selections are pretty standard and self-explanatory.
Food delivery was a bit slow...there were pause moments. Service was, again, just like our previous visit, surprisingly pleasant for an AYCE restaurant. Our sushi/sashimi order was screwed up with another table and we ended up getting a large order of sushi/sashimi. Daisy and Buddha Boy were too quick with their chopsticks before I could mention anything about the mistake. Just in case we couldn't finish the plate, I quickly acknowledged one server (who turned out to be the lead server) about the mess. She apologized immediately and acknowledge us not to worry about, if any, unfinished pieces. What surprised us was...she did not just apologize once, or twice, but she apologized three times (on three different occasions)...not common to experience this kind of apologetic behavior in AYCE restaurants.
